After confirming their return as a 4-day camping festival earlier this year, Beyond The Valley organiser’s have now revealed the new location for 2022 along with an impressive lineup!
The 7th edition of the Music, Arts and Camping festival will take place through December 28 – January 1 later this year, with their new home located at Barunah Plains – a lush oasis in Southwest Victoria.
Staying true to tradition, the festival will feature a combination of international & homegrown bands, electronic & hip hop artists, and of course DJs, all spread across 3 awesome custom-designed stages.
Some notable names (for us at least) include Flight Facilities, Bicep (Live), Diplo, Patrick Topping, Charlotte de Witte, Honey Dijon and DJ Boring. Check out the full lineup flyer below!
The new location
Barunah Plains is a picturesque oasis 1.5 hours out of Melbourne, boasting a 100,000 square metre natural amphitheatre; with sweeping trees, rolling hills, mystic bridges and a winding creek.
The beauty of Barunah Plains extends well into the surrounding areas, with places like Geelong, Torquay, Ocean Grove and Lorne renowned for their serene beaches and beautiful restaurants – making these perfect pitstops on your way to BTV.
What to expect (experiences)
Not just your average camping festival, Beyond The Valley 2022 will offer all sorts of unique experiences.
Step away from the music and go for a swim at Beach Club, or uncover Schmall Klüb – a concealed party with spontaneous sets from your favourite DJs, only accessible via a secret entrance.
For a place for self-discovery, step into The Sanctuary. This is perfect to unwind, with daily meditation sessions, yoga & workshops. Alternatively, if local art & community is your thing, you might wish to explore the various Market Stalls!
If that wasn’t enough, party-goers can also look forward to the countless art installations scattered throughout the festival, or engage in other activities such as Drag Bingo, Speed Dating, Open Mic, Fortune Teller, Doof Stick Making, Pilates & more.
For when you need to eat, the Food Village is the perfect place to refuel, offering no shortage of options to suit all dietary requirements.

There are 3 main stages at the festival: the Main Stage, the Dance Tent, and Dr Dan’s. For the first time at BTV, there’s also a Podcast Stage with live and interactive recordings of your favourite podcasts.

Packages can be purchased with or without camping, choosing between 1 – 4 days. Prices start at $249 for NYE only (no camping) and work there way up to $499 for a 4-day camping pass.
