Carl Cox’s touring techno night PURE is back for its 7th edition this April, with Coxy & Co. set to perform in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth!
In addition to the man himself, who’ll be performing his full live show (details lower down), overseas headliners include Dutchman Joris Voorn, Ida Engberg (Sweden), and Luigi Madonna (Italy).
Aussie techno favourite Eric Powell is also on the card, with more DJs to be announced in the coming weeks.
Carl Cox PURE 2023 dates are as follows:
- Brisbane: Fri 21 April @ Warehouse
- Sydney: Sat 22 April @ Hordern Pavilion
- Melbourne: Sun 23 April @ Flemington Racecourse (new venue)
- Perth: Mon 24 April @ Metro City

Carl Cox (Full live show) – Electronic Generations World Tour
In from last years’ awesome Wembley show, Carl for the first time in Australia will present his full live show, encompassing his new album ‘Electronic Generations’ released in December 2022. The album features 17 tracks of analogue techno, electro, breaks and all things in between. A sonic masterpiece and live show not to be missed!
Joris Voorn (Netherlands)
Amsterdam based Joris Voorn is back for his first appearance since 2019 in Oz. Fusing his melodic sound with techno and electronica, his signature style is captivating and elevating. Four albums later and a string of legendary mixes on Global Underground and Balance, Joris’ has a distinct sound that bridges roots of techno and Detroit to modern day masterpieces! His sets are a fusion of future techno and the odd foundational classic!
Ida Engberg (Sweden)
Known for her Swedish sound of house and techno, Ida is debuting in Australia for PURE 2023 for the first time ever. Recording on label Drumcode Records, the now Ibiza based producer and creates a unique sound of techno on the more melodic, tribal and driving side providing dance floor groove.
Luigi Madonna (Italy)
The Italian techno prince, Luigi plays straight up Napoli techno. Busy as hell on the decks, he plays a mix of techno, acid and tech-house and has released on Second State, Plus8, Drumcode and Joseph Capriati’s Redimension. He recently launched his Contempo label and is a rising star, featuring in his Origins documentary which is a must watch.
