Today, DJ software brand Serato launched a social campaign celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, paying homage to DJs’ undeniable impact on the genre.
Serato is teaming up with some of hip hop’s most prolific DJs, from early pioneers to modern icons, commencing with DJ Jazzy Jeff (Eminem, Mac Miller, The Roots, Will Smith) showcasing his DJ routine on Instagram.
Serato will be further amplifying the campaign with a rollout of social posts by legendary DJs. DJs of all genres and experience levels can join Serato in showing love for the hip hop DJ community by posting their routines on Instagram with the hashtags #ThankYouDJs and #Serato, along with custom HH50 badges, stickers and filters.
You can check out DJ Jazzy Jeff’s routine here, and Serato’s blog post for the campaign here.
Keep an eye out for more routine posts from DJs that helped shape Hip Hop culture – including DJ Grand Wizzard Theodore, DJ Scratch, DJ Jazzy Jay, GrandMixer DXT, and DJ Cocoa Chanelle.
In addition to honouring the most esteemed DJs of our time, Serato is also launching the campaign to elevate the next generation of DJs.
