Earth Frequency Festival launches new website ready for 2022 edition

Earth Frequency Festival 2022 edition

Earth Frequency Festival has just launched a new website in preparation for their 17th anniversary next autumn. The 4-day family-friendly camping festival will take place at Ivory’s Rock, Queensland from 6 – 9 May 2022.

For those of you that aren’t familiar, Queensland’s Earth Frequency Festival isn’t your average camping festival.

As Australia’s longest-standing music, arts, lifestyle and environmental festival, it has a strong focus on arts, education, healing and community spirit, drawing from many cultural niches such as transformational festival, tribal gathering, doof and boutique festival.

In short, festival-goers can expect an amazing mixture of live and electronic music, performance, visionary art, workshops and lectures, a family and kids space, fantastic food and markets area, and a positive community vibe.

A deeper dive/what to expect

The music: Typical lineups include a wide range of music styles ranging from live bands, to original electronic producers and DJs, with an overall focus on independent, creative musical expression.

Expect to hear a solid dose of Techno, Bass Music, Reggae, Progressive Trance, Hip-Hop, Psytrance, Dubstep, House, World Music, Drum and Bass, Folk, Funk and Down-Tempo in a 4-day mix of music that will not only satisfy all tastes but also push boundaries.

Market stalls: The Earth Frequency Market Place is positioned at the centre of the festival and is a thriving hub of food, art, fashion, jewellery, crafts and information.

The marketplace provides a diverse sensory experience of carefully selected artisans and caterers, but it is also a bustling social experience, especially in the later hours of the night once the 3 big stages close down and it’s time to have a meal and reconnect with your friends.

The food stall selections prioritise quality healthy options for food and drinks, catering for all dietary sensitivities. Locally based handmade and ethically produced wares are given preference in the vendor selection process, to ensure the markets at Earth Frequency match their core values, whilst providing a truly unique market experience.

Dedicated family area: The ‘Family Realm’ is a large, shady area in the centre of the festival dedicated to providing a safe space for families to play, rest, create and learn together.

To boil it down, the area is exploding with colour, music, craft, dance, circus, movies and various games, offering huge amounts of fun for the whole family from toddlers to their grandparents.

Frequency Village: Frequency Village is a cultural village with a focus upon transformational workshops, healing, speakers, panels & experiences. The village is designed to raise the frequency of festival-goers through conscious content & evolutionary experiences.

Check out an inspirational panel, catch an evolutionary speaker, immerse yourself in sacred sounds, learn a new life skill, get a massage, participate in yoga daily sessions, and more.

Performance: Earth Frequency hosts a wide range of performance art each year as a key aspect of creating an unforgettable festival experience. This includes regular favourites such as the main stage fire shows, the indigenous welcome to country and opening ceremony, as well as roving performers, special stage shows and random acts of spontaneous theatre.

Visionary art: Earth Frequency is aligned with the emerging visionary art movement. Over the past few years, visionary art has risen to the forefront of the transformational festival experience worldwide.

This movement is particularly focused on exploring themes of spirituality, consciousness, connectivity and personal and planetary transformation. Visionary art merges many vital and current ideas into a medium of technical brilliance and exists at the cutting edge of human creative expression.

Décor: Starting with the canvas of a lush outdoor setting, a diverse range of artists and crews come together to create an immersive and magical gathering space. From shade structures to recycled art, lanterns and hanging art to domes and yurts, form and function meet up in the most creative and unique ways possible.

You can take a deeper dive into this stuff on their ‘’experience’’ page here.
