Fatboy Slim Announces Seven-Show Australian Tour for March 2027

Fatboy Slim is heading back to Australia in March 2027 for seven shows across Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, with the tour built around a series of less conventional venues rather than standard arenas or festival stages.

The run begins at Esplanade Park in Fremantle on 3 March before Norman Cook settles into a three-night residency at Sydney’s Carriageworks from 5–7 March. Brisbane follows with a show at the riverside On The Banks concert series on 10 March, while Melbourne gets two closing dates at The Underpass on 12 and 13 March.

“For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party!” Cook said in the announcement.

“Bridges, rivers, parks, old railway sheds – if it’s a bit weird and the sound system’s loud enough, I’m there.”

That approach makes the Sydney dates particularly fitting. Carriageworks occupies the former Eveleigh Railway Workshops, with Fatboy Slim playing inside its heritage bays for what will be his only NSW appearances on the tour.

Melbourne’s shows take the same idea in a different direction. The Underpass is a new outdoor event space beneath the elevated freeway in West Melbourne, while the Brisbane date forms part of the returning On The Banks series at QPAC’s Cultural Forecourt overlooking the Brisbane River.

The 2027 dates come two years after Fatboy Slim’s most recent Australian headline run in March 2025, which included outdoor shows around the country alongside smaller appearances at Sydney’s Roundhouse and Melbourne institution Revolver Upstairs.

Cook remains one of dance music’s most recognisable crossover figures, with tracks including “Praise You”, “Right Here Right Now”, “The Rockafeller Skank” and “Weapon of Choice” continuing to feature heavily in his sets. His more recent output includes “Satisfaction Skank” and “Funk Drunk”, a collaboration with Carola and Felix Da Housecat.
