For The Love festival drops 2022 lineup with 4 dates across Australia

Travelling events brand For The Love has revealed the lineup for their Australian tour in 2022!

It features house music DJ/producer Dom Dolla, Perth trio Crooked Colours, Mallrat, Running Touch and more – with dates in the Gold Coast, Wollongong, Melbourne and Perth.

The brand is best known for its idyllic waterside settings and sunsets…

Dates:

  • Gold Coast on the 19th Feb 2022 @ Doug Jennings Park.
  • Wollongong on the 26th Feb 2022 @ Stuart Park.
  • Melbourne on the 5th March 2022 @ Catani Gardens.
  • Perth on the 6th March 2022 @ McCallum Park.

At the time of writing, tickets are available on pre-sale. You can sign up based on your location here or visit the FTL website for more details.

Just be aware, a lot of people retained their tickets from the 2021 tour, so they’ll be in short supply!

Meet the artists

Dom Dolla:

Dom Dolla is one of the latest Australian DJ/Producers to break globally following a succession of releases like “Take It”, “San Frandisco” & “Pump The Brakes”.

Dom’s unique blend of house music has amassed over 300 million+ streams, Platinum-certified records, ARIA Award for Best Dance Release, back to back Beatport #1’s, US Billboard Dance top 10’s, triple j’s hottest 100, Shazam & Spotify Global top 100 charts.

Dom’s delivered official remixes for Dua Lipa, Rufus Du Sol, Calvin Harris, Tom Grennan, Marc E. Bassy, The Martinez Brothers & Louie Vega, MK & Sonny Fodera, Purple Disco Machine, PNAU, Hayden James & Flight Facilities.

Crooked Colours:

Crooked Colours are a three-piece band formed in Perth, Western Australia, consisting of members Phil Slabber, Leon Debaughn and Liam Merrett-Park.

Starting out as house party DJs before forming in 2013, the trio have amassed a large following, peaking at number 1 on the Australian Dance Album ARIA Charts for their album “Langata”.

Mallrat:

Grace Kathleen Elizabeth Shaw, known professionally as Mallrat, is a 23-year-old Australian musician, singer, and rapper from Brisbane. 

Mallrat released her official debut single, “Suicide Blonde” in 2015 whilst in her last year of High School. Since then, she has gone on to release three EPs: Uninvited (2016), In the Sky (2018) and Driving Music (2019).

Allday:

Tom Gaynor, better known by his stage name “Allday”, is an Australian rapper from Adelaide, South Australia. Allday became active in 2011, when Gaynor began uploading his music for free online.

Millennial rapper Allday got his break with a pair of radio hits in his home country of Australia in 2014. “Right Now” and “You Always Know the DJ” were included on his debut album, Startup Cult, but by then, he had already dropped a number of mixtapes and opened for Lily Allen.

Since his debut, Allday continues to establish himself as a household name with tracks like “Wonder Drug” and “Protection” which received ARIA Gold awards.

Running Touch:

Raised in Melbourne, Running Touch is a triple threat singer, songwriter and producer.

Running touch’s first project ‘A Body Slow’ hit #1 on itunes electronic album. Fast forward to 2018 highlight Gold certified single ‘My Hands’ gained global attention being added to major playlists around the world and voted sexiest song by Triple J listeners.

His follow up Single a collaboration with Hayden James ‘Better Together’ is an international hit that reached #1 on iTunes USA and became Australia’s Summer anthem, playing on high rotation from every commercial radio station.

Boo Seeka:

Boo Seeka is the artist name of Australian electro-pop singer-songwriter, Ben Gumbleton. After bursting onto the scene in 2015 with his debut song, Kingdom Leader – he has continued to establish himself as a must-see live act with his unmatchable energy, and continuous flow of hits such as Deception Bay, Oh My, Does This Last, Never Enough & Don’t Waste Your Love.

With an album announced for 2022, we expect to see a whole lot more Boo Seeka this summer.

George Maple:

Jess Higgs aka George Maple, is an Austrian born, LA-based recording artist, songwriter and record producer, vocalist and multi-media artist George Maple is more than a pop star with a vision; she is a force.

Over the last three years, her unique approach to pop artistry has been gathering groundswell across the industry, media, tastemakers and die-hard fans. As an artist, ghostwriter and producer she has over 500 million Spotify streams.

She has written and produced for artists such as DJ Snake, What So Not, Flume, Goldroom, Guy Sebastien, Hayden James and Flight Facilities. Maple is the pitched-down voice of Hayden James hit ‘Something About You.’

Telenova:

Telenova are a Melbourne three-piece band, fronted by the haunting vocals of Angeline Armstrong, alongside the refined musicality of Edward Quinn and Joshua Moriarty. With an air of quiet confidence and cinematic aesthetics, Telenova trade in a sound that’s unequivocally Melbourne yet global in scope. 

Assembled by Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) at a writing camp in early 2020, Telenova evokes the elegance and feminine power of Lana Del Ray and Karen O, the sophistication of 90’s trip-hop production and the effortless energy of Khurangbin and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

Ebony Boadu:

Ebony Boadu is a renowned tastemaker, deeply plugged into the global music scene and her exuberant energy translates both in her sets and through the mic. Her obsession with music led her to hosting spots on FBi, SBS and MTV, before joining triple j in 2019 to soundtrack your Saturday nights on triple j’s house party.

In that time, Ebony’s fast-growing popularity also saw her pick up peak fill-in shifts on Drive, Good Nights, the Hip Hop Show and eventually to co-hosting the coveted flagship breakfast show.
