We have big plans for the next 12 months, which YOU could be part of!
Who are you?
We’d be looking for passionate DJs that, at the very least, have played out in a professional capacity at a number of different venues. In addition to your experience as a working DJ (past or present), you could also be a music producer, a musician, a writer/journalist, or a mixture of all of the above.
Bottom line: If you think you can provide genuine value to an audience of aspiring, beginner, and/or amateur-level DJs, then we want to hear from you!
What’s in it for you?
In your submissions, we’ll include a link to your website, or wherever you’d like the reader to follow you. For example, it could be your music productions, your blog, your vlog, your DJ mixes, or just a preferred social media profile. This is going to drive market-relevant eyeballs to your work – ultimately building your following and increasing your networks.
For regular contributors, we’ll also tag your name to a dedicated page where the reader can find all your work. This page will be hosted indefinitely on the website, and is also the perfect way to showcase or share your work via a single link.
Published submissions will also be featured in a key position on The DJ Revolution email newsletter and shared across our social media channels. Not only that, there are also genuine opportunities for the right people to step up and join our team on a permanent basis.
What’s required from you?
Writing for an audience of mostly aspiring, beginner and/or intermediate-level DJs, you’ll need to provide solutions to their problems – often offering tangible ‘key takeaways’ based on your specific knowledge, expertise and personal experiences as a working DJ.
How often you choose to submit a contribution is completely up to you. If you become a regular contributor, a good rule of thumb would be to make a submission every 8-12 weeks – so it’s definitely something you can do around a day job, gigging schedule, or other commitments.
Regardless of how often you submit a piece, your focus must be on achieving QUALITY rather than quantity. With that said, unless it’s something you can easily research, it’s best sticking to what you know!
How to apply?
In a few short paragraphs, tell us who you are and what you’re passionate about (don’t worry, it’s not a test) …
Let us know what music you’re into and also where you’ve played at as a DJ – or at least in what capacity.
Please also include the following in the body of your email:
- Your full name
- Email address
- Where you’re based (city & country)
- Alias/artist name (if applicable)
- DJ/artist bio (if applicable)
- Area(s) of interest or expertise (what you might write about)
- Links to any examples of your writing
- Links to any appropriate social media profiles
More details will be provided to the best applicants, and we promise to respond to all serious submissions.
We can’t wait to hear from you. Best of luck!
