KRK Unveils ROKIT Gen 5 Studio Monitors, Available In Three Sizes

Gibson Pro Audio has released the newest addition to KRK’s range of professional audio monitors: the ROKIT Generation Five.

Offered in three sizes—5, 7, and 8-inch—the active two-way studio monitors feature three new voicing modes, an enhanced tweeter design, a refreshed LCD, and 25 EQ combinations to help correct problems in any acoustic environment.

The voicing modes include Mix Mode, which is ideal for mixing, mastering and critical listening. Create Mode is best used for writing, producing and casual listening, and finally Focus Mode, is for critical analysis of the midrange band where vocals and instruments have the most energy.

The newly designed tweeter benefits from a silk dome diaphragm for improved phase performance and an extended frequency range (up to 40 kHz), while the refreshed, amber-coloured LCD DSP interface simplifies the calibration process with new tuning options.

The monitors also feature KRK’s iconic woven Kevlar aramid fiber cone woofers for superior damping and modal breakup control.

Intended for plug-and-play use, the monitors come with a set of isolation pads and integrated mounting points to use with any wall/ceiling mount solutions. Each pair also comes standard with a protective grille installed, plus an additional faceplate option without the grille.

The KRK ROKIT Generation Five line is available now priced at $199 / $270 / $320 (5, 7 and 8-inch). Visit the website here for more information.
