Legendary British DJ Carl Cox partners with BMG ahead of new album

Carl Cox partners with BMG ahead of new album

Much-loved techno king Carl Cox has signed with BMG for his forthcoming album.

Carl joins a roster at BMG that includes The Prodigy, Solomun, Fatboy Slim, Maya Jane Coles, Wilkinson, Aphex Twin, Craig David and others.

“I had my first single out with BMG many years ago so I couldn’t be more pleased to be now signed there as a recording artist,” Cox said in a statement.

“Being in the studio all year and digging deep alongside BMG’s support will, I hope, make the first album something special. I can’t wait to share my music with the world.”

The upcoming album will be his 5th to date, with his last album ‘All Roads Lead To The Dancefloor’ released on Intec Digital back in 2011.

Having been around since the birth of acid house in the late 80s, Carl Cox is still one of the most hard-working DJ-producers in dance music. During his 30+ year career, he’s released an impressive 4 studio albums, 25 singles, 26 compilation albums and 66 remixes.

Only last week, Carl partnered with WaterBear – The College of Music (Brighton) for the ‘Carl Cox Scholarship Award’, where a £15,000 prize will be presented to an Electronic Music & Business student.

Back in March, much to his fans’ delight, Carl also announced the title & release date of his forthcoming autobiography, ‘Oh Yes, Oh Yes!’, which can be pre-ordered now via Rough Trade.
