For those that aren’t aware, born in 2017, Eat The Beat quickly became the foundation of Melbourne’s favourite Saturday night party at the New Guernica Club thanks to the happy and musically unique vibe.

Now, the brand has announced a new festival project kicking off this November – inviting techno royalty including the mighty Carl Cox, German DJ/producer Chris Liebing, Lilly Plamer and others to play across 2 stages at the industrial backdrop of Melbourne’s vibrant warehouse venue, Pica.

The Eat The Beat brand has been the host in collaboration with some of the world’s leading brands such as Ade, Elrow, Circoloco, Babylon Festival, Subsonic Festival, Resistance, PURE, Festival X, Piknic Electronik and more – so we reckon you’re in for a treat!

Eat The Beat Festival will take place at PICA (Port Melbourne Industrial Centre for the Arts) on Saturday, November 30th from 3 – 11pm AEDT. For more information or to grab tickets, head to EventBrite.

Meet the artists

Carl Cox:

With a career spanning over four decades, Carl Cox has solidified his status as an icon in the electronic music scene and the undisputed king of techno. Renowned for his unparalleled energy, masterful DJ sets, and infectious stage presence, Cox continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his signature blend of techno, house, and funk-infused beats.

Chris Liebing:

German Chris Liebing is considered a global techno ambassador. A proudly forward-thinking attitude ensures that is the case as his DJ tools and studio setup constantly evolve. He continues to be an early adopter of emerging technology, too, just as he was with vinyl, Traktor and when leading the way with full hybrid/live DJing.

Renowned for his groundbreaking productions, captivating DJ sets, and uncompromising dedication to his craft, Liebing has established himself as a true pioneer of electronic music.

Lilly Palmer:

Born and raised in Germany, Lilly Palmer’s real musical journey started in Zurich, where she spent a lot of time with the great and thriving underground scene. Her dedication to music grew stronger and stronger, eventually leading to the decision to fully immerse herself in the world of the underground in 2015.

Now happily living on the coast of the Netherlands, Lilly’s sound and style have evolved to new dimensions. Her versatility and savvy brought her sound to higher spheres and Peaktime Techno has become her signature sound.

Mha Iri:

Although based in Edinburgh for the last couple of years, Mha Iri has travelled extensively. Leaving home to see the world, she eventually landed in Melbourne, Australia where over 5 years she established herself as a firm feature on the city’s vibrant underground techno circuit playing open to close sets to ever-growing crowds.

It was in this world that Mha Iri immersed herself and learned the craft, gaining both experience and fans over many months and years. She is now a regular on renowned techno labels and playing on the main stages of the biggest festivals around the World.
