WATCH: Paul van Dyk’s 3-hour ‘VENTURE X’ performance filmed in Montreal

Venture X is Paul van Dyk’s new show concept, which appears to be a live DJ-style mix using electronic music instruments …similar to Carl Cox’s ‘Hybrid Live’ performances.

Van Dyk has already toured the US & Canada and is soon to go to Asia and beyond according his PR team. This was the 3-hour live mix filmed at New City Gas in Montreal on 28th April. Enjoy!

‘’VENTURE X is an exciting new concept where the master DJ and curator sources from the finest trance, progressive house, and techno music available and brings it all together during one incredible evening.’’

Paul van Dyk’s bio (snippet only)

Ground-breaking electronic musician, composer, and performer Paul van Dyk has earned a reputation as not only one of the most prolific artists in electronic music but as an icon of dance culture.

As a DJ, his performances are legendary, to say the least. His sets at Berlin’s iconic Love Parade routinely attracted crowds of up to a million and is still a celebrated landmark in dance music culture to this day, which still pales to the 1.3 million people that witnessed his New Year’s Eve show in Rio de Janeiro in 2008, a record-setting crowd at the time.

Whilst his connection to Ibiza has seen him hold a residency in the world party capital since 1999, the longest running in the history of the White Isle, he has also headlined every major event from EDC Las Vegas to Creamfields, Ultra Music to Tomorrowland, as well as the biggest and most prestigious music festivals on the planet like Summer stage at Central Park New York, Coachella, Rock In Rio, EXIT and Sziget.

With ten studio albums, countless singles and remixes to his name, van Dyk shines brightly as a producer. His 1994 release ‘For An Angel’ is regarded by Mixmag as “one of the greatest dance tracks of all time” and his third LP, ‘Reflections,’ was nominated for a Grammy – making him the first DJ to receive a Grammy Award nomination in the newly-added category of Best Dance/Electronic album.
