Pete Tong recently announced the launch of a brand-new online DJ academy at the International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza earlier this week.
In addition to Pete himself, tutors of the course include some of electronic music’s industry-leading DJs and music producers, such as Jamie Jones, Nicole Moudaber, TSHA, and British DJ legend Carl Cox, who is also the co-founder of the project.
Pete Tong said:
“I’m very proud of what we achieved with the Pete Tong DJ Academy. A new platform that gives my peer’s and I a chance to pass on a lifetimes worth of learning, experience and skills to the next generation.
Our ambition is to continue the legacy and help inspire and evolve the essence of what’s required to be a great DJ. If you want to be a DJ this is the place to start”
With help from the MAT Academy — an online music school based in Rome — the new e-learning initiative is in partnership with industry heavyweights Beatport and Defected Records, who will apparently provide certain students with a hotbed of game-changing contacts.
The ”comprehensive” course has more than 100 different lessons, covering every aspect of learning how to DJ – designed for beginners through to advanced level.
