AlphaTheta Corporation, owners of the Pioneer DJ brand, have introduced a new DJ brand under their umbrella: ‘’AlphaTheta’’.
According to AlphaTheta Corp, AlphaTheta is not designed to replace Pioneer DJ, who said:
“Both brands will continue to co-exist, we will continue to manufacture Pioneer DJ products and AlphaTheta products, offering customers new value and more choice.”
The company also said:
‘’With products launching as AlphaTheta, we’ve created a brand that will propel us into the future, while also maintaining the quality and innovation that you’ve come to expect from us.’’
The AlphaTheta group also owns brands including Rekordbox, Toraiz, Pioneer Pro Audio and Kuvo.
The announcement comes on the 30th anniversary of Pioneer’s first DJ deck, the CDJ-500, released in 1994.
The name AlphaTheta directly refers to the brain wave frequencies achieved in optimal performance.
