Reloop has released the RP-2000 MK4, the latest version of its entry-level direct-drive DJ turntable, adding a new silver finish alongside the existing black option while keeping much of the specification of the previous model.
The new turntable is aimed primarily at DJs getting started with vinyl or putting together an affordable home setup. It uses a quartz-controlled direct-drive motor with more than 1.0 kgf/cm of starting torque and reaches full speed in under one second.
One of the more useful inclusions for new DJs is the Ortofon OM Black cartridge, which comes pre-mounted to a headshell and is included with the turntable.

What’s changed on the RP-2000 MK4?
Despite the jump from MK2 to MK4 in the model name, the RP-2000 MK4 doesn’t represent a major technical overhaul.
The core specification remains largely unchanged, including the direct-drive motor with more than 1.0 kgf/cm of starting torque, 33⅓ and 45 RPM speeds, ±8% pitch control, die-cast aluminium platter and S-shaped tonearm. The previous MK2 also already featured a reinforced housing, metallic controls, shock-absorbing feet and pop-up stylus light.
The clearest changes are therefore cosmetic, with some refinements to the top-panel and control design, alongside a new silver finish. The MK4 is now available in both black and silver, while the previous RP-2000 MK2 was sold in a deep-black metallic finish.

Setup options
The RP-2000 MK4 connects to a DJ mixer through its standard phono output and ground connection, allowing it to be used as part of a traditional two-turntable-and-mixer setup.
As with other analogue DJ turntables, it can also form part of a DVS setup when paired with the necessary timecode vinyl, compatible mixer or audio interface and DJ software. The turntable itself doesn’t include a USB connection or built-in audio interface.
Its lower starting torque and fixed ±8% pitch range position it below more performance-focused models in Reloop’s range, making it primarily suited to home DJ setups and DJs getting started with vinyl rather than more demanding scratch and turntablist use.
