New Romanian electronic music festival, SAGA, has just dropped a huge lineup for their inaugural edition. Having originally been scheduled for June, the 3-day festival will run through the weekend of September 10, 11 and 12 at Izvor Park in the beautiful city of Bucharest.
Whilst this is the festival’s first outing, rest assured you’re in good hands! SAGA is a collaboration between dance music industry titans ‘ALDA’ (responsible for Amsterdam Music Festival) and Insomnia Events, who of course put on the globally-renowned EDC franchise.
In addition to a healthy serving of local talent, some of the DJ headliners & artists include Tiesto, Don Diablo, Nervo, W&W, John Newman and Timmy Trumpet. For house & techno fans, the also-impressive underground card includes Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Dubfire, Fisher, Eli Brown, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, UMEK and Sonny Fodera amongst others.

3-day passes are now on sale starting at $115 U.S., with a VIP upgrade and payment plan available. Prices will gradually increase as the event draws closer with day-ticket availability on the way. SAGA’s two official ticketing partners are Bilete.ro (not in English) and Festicket.
More information on Covid safety measures will be announced soon, although in a recent Facebook post they said they hope the festival can go ahead without measures.
Organisers also said they are ‘’very hopeful’’ the festival will go ahead as planned, with these newly-adjusted September dates having been chosen in consultation with the Romanian authorities.
ALDA CEO Allan Hardenberg had this to say — “The world is opening up again and I am counting the days until we can celebrate in the best way by welcoming everybody to the extraordinary debut of SAGA festival. What we have in store is ground-breaking – from the amazing lineup to the immersive music experience and so much more. This will be a truly special celebration of music. Hope to see everybody at this first edition of SAGA in the heart of Bucharest. Let’s celebrate freedom together!”
